The day he received certification in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST), he found his first DUI, a 0.212 Blood Alcohol Content (BAC), driving on a dark major roadway with no lights on. Since that night, every shift he works, his primary goal is finding DUI offenders. This resulted in 257 total DUI contacts between himself and other Holly Springs officers, and his 54 primary arrests for DUI alcohol.<br\/><br\/>\n\nBefore being moved to the day shift, he helped other night shift officers to pursue and identify DUI offenders. He also makes himself available for officer\u2019s questions related to DUIs, navigating Automatic License Suspension hearings, case building and documentation in report writing.<br\/><br\/>\n\nOfficer Adams obtained Intox9000 as well as Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) certifications to further his knowledge in DUI enforcement.\u00a0 He also is in the process of obtaining crash reconstruction certification.<br\/><br\/>\n\nIn addition to his enforcement efforts, Officer Adams spends time speaking with local teens regarding the dangers of what is seen as minor \u201cdrugs\u201d as it relates to DUI enforcement and prosecution.
