Corporal Sumrow has been with the Jesup Police Department for five years.\u00a0 He has a passion for traffic safety, impaired driving enforcement and education.<\/span><br><br>\n\n<span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\">Corporal Sumrow has made DUI enforcement a priority in the City of Jesup. \u00a0He is currently assigned to the Jesup Police Department Traffic Team. \u00a0Corporal Sumrow is very dedicated to working traffic and getting impaired drivers off the roadway. \u00a0He made 64 DUI arrests in 2022. <\/span><br><br>\n\n<span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\">Corporal Sumrow and K9 Yale also assisted the Jesup\/Wayne County Tactical Narcotics Team with two significant drug investigations this year.\u00a0 The investigations resulted in nine pounds of methamphetamine being taken off the streets. MADD National is proud to recognize Corporal Philip Sumrow as the March 2023 Officer of the Month. We thank him for his dedicated service to the citizen of Jesup and the State of Georgia.
